Team Jacob or Team Edward, what was written on the shirts of many fans as they waited in line to get into the theatre to watch “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”. The theatre was packed, we had to get our tickets a day before, and bare in mind this wasn’t even the premiere! I sat close to the screen with my popcorn and soda waiting to see what the fuss is all about.
I must be honest here, I read a lot of books, and when I tried to read Twilight I threw the book away, it was boring, spooky and oh so not original. But everyone told me I did not give it a chance, so I went to the movie Twilight last year and there I saw the most horrendous movie of the year, I enjoyed it yes, the comedy of how bad it was, not the plot. Nevertheless, I went again to watch New Moon. I mean I was in mood for a comedy. And as I expected, I laughed a lot, but I was also a bit surprised, good surprised. To make it all easy I’m just going to put it in bulletins.
Sorry Robert Pattinson, you are a horrible Edward, and Kristen Stewart is might be the worst Bella ever. Two words: NO CHEMISTRY!
OH GOD! Fire that makeup artist as soon as possible! Edward the vampire? More like Edward the clown, the foundation used to make him seem white, made him look like a very, very old man.
The highlight of the movie was in the middle of it, when Edward disappears from Bella’s life and she spends time with Jacob played by Taylor Lautner. Taylor is actually a good actor, and what’s even surprising is that Kristen acts really well with him. Yes, she isn’t awkward and she says her lines with more life than when she is with Robert. So I guess that makes me team Jacob?
The Cullen family is perfect, they suit their roles and it looked like the audience enjoyed their parts the most.
I know that Taylor who plays Jacob might’ve spent a whole year in the gym to get into shape, but seriously stop taking your shirt off! It’s like he wears a shirt just to take it off, this only happens in movies where there is nothing deep going on, so they rely on irrelevant things.
And one more thing, Vampires don’t sparkle! Sorry Stephanie Meyer, but you should get your fictional facts right.
Overall, I won’t say that New Moon is the worst movie of the year, but oh it’s bad. But there’s a couple of good parts in it. So, the one million dollar question, should you go watch it? If you are a huge fan of the book, maybe you shouldn’t, because you wouldn’t want to distort your fantastical image of Edward and Bella with this bad movie. But if you are capable in seeing the humor in how bad this is, you would enjoy it. I did, and I’m not even fond of Vampires let alone a pack of wolves.
