Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels, Qatar’s leading hotelier unveiled this month two of its latest five star hotels – Arumaila and Musheireb – as well as the launch of The Residences. Located in the heart of Souq Waqif, Doha’s historic and culturally significant old marketplace, the hotels involve traditional Arab design elements, but employ all the luxury and prestige found in the top worldwide hotels. The luxury residential property is inspired by the décor of traditional Qatari homes.
Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels is an exclusive collection of boutique hotels owned and managed by Al Rayyan Hospitality. Among those hotels are Al Najada, Al Mirqab, Arumaila, Musheireb, Al Jasra and Al Bidda Boutique Hotels. In keeping with the concept of boutique hotels, the above mentioned hotels have no more than 37 rooms each. Dotted around the culturally important and now tourist magnet Souq Waqif, the six hotels were given traditional names of various areas in Qatar.
“The Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels brand is built with distinctiveness and eccentricity being at the heart of each and every one of the properties. Arumaila and Musheireb, as well as The Residences, carry this brand identity across all their offerings, ensuring that guests experience every aspect of the brand from the moment they enter the buildings to the moment they leave Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels. We look forward to welcoming guests from Qatar, the Arab region and across the world in the coming months,” said Abdulla Bin Ali Al Attiyah, Executive Manager of Al Rayyan Project Management.
Of the latest additions to the Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels, Arumaila Boutique Hotel, which is designed to be modern and stylish, has 19 rooms, of which 17 are standard and two are suites. Arumaila has fine dining restaurants including The Canteen and Al Matbakh Rooftop Grill.
Musheireb, is designed in a very Arabesque way, has 14 rooms, of which ten are deluxe and four are suites, and a restaurant called Al Mataam restaurant.
The Residences follows the same concept of boutique hotels, albeit in a larger apartment-like type of accomodation. It consists of four three-bedroom residences and five one-bedroom residences, which are designed to be contemporary chic.
Of all the boutique hotels that the company is launching, only Al Najada, Al Mirqab, Arumaila are currently operational. More hotels will be launching in the coming year, as well as early on next year.
